ADULT ICU AND ANAESTHESIA DEPARTMENT
The department is a vital part of Adan hospital as it provides a number of services for patients by an experienced medical team under the supervision of consultants with different subspecialties including cardiac anaesthesia and obstetric anaesthesia in addition to specialists in critical care and pain management. The department uses advanced technologies in order to provide the highest standard of care for all patients.

We provide anaesthesia and critical care services for many areas in the hospital including casualty, main operating theatres, labour room, daboos cardiac centre in addition to anaesthesia for patients undergoing computed tomography and magnetic resonance image, cardiac catheterization and audiology investigations. It's our responsibility also to evaluate patients preoperatively through anaesthesia outpatient clinic (room 14) starting from 8:00 am till 1:30 pm on daily basis to prepare the patient for their operation and request the necessary investigations in addition to discussing the anaesthetic choice with the patient and any risks involved. All patients must visit the anaesthesia clinic before their operation to ensure adequate preparation for their surgery and avoid cancelation of the procedure.
Labour analgesia services:
This service is provided 24/7 for all patients in labour room through many analgesia modalities including epidural analgesia.
Adult Intensive care unit
Adult intensive care unit is a vital part of the department were a high level of care is provided through highly qualified staff using modern technologies. The ICU team will meet the patients families daily from 12:00 pm till 2:00 pm during working days to explain the patient’s condition and answer any questions the family may have. Visiting ICU patients is allowed through the visiting corridor were communicating with the patient can be done through a microphone and a glass window if the patient's condition permits.
Acute and Chronic Pain managements
